About New Vision University
New Vision University (NVU), established in 2013 in Tbilisi, Georgia, is a rapidly growing private non-profit university operating under the motto "Inspire to Care." It is one of the most internationally diverse universities in the Caucasus region, with over 5,000 students and alumni from 90+ countries and more than one-third of its faculty being international. The School of Medicine offers a 6-year English-medium Medical Doctor (MD/MBBS equivalent) program of 360 ECTS credits, recognized by WHO, NMC (India), ECFMG, FAIMER, WFME, WDOMS, and the National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) of Georgia. The university is structured around four campuses, 13 specialized laboratories, a ZEISS Microscopy Education and Research Center (unique in Georgia), a molecular genetic laboratory, and 52 affiliated clinical sites including its own NVU Hospital. NVU's curriculum is shaped in collaboration with senior NHS UK medical consultants and follows the WFME global standards. The Medical Doctor program at NVU is 360 ECTS / 6 years , comprising 5 years of spiral-model academics and clinical work plus 1 mandatory internship year.
The MD/MBBS program is fully taught in English. Basic Georgian language is offered as a complementary course for non-native-speaking international students.
NVU provides 6 well-maintained dormitories with separate facilities for female students, equipped with all necessary amenities including Wi-Fi, gym, laundry, 24/7 security, CCTV, and a canteen.
NVU offers a 25% scholarship to students who pass two consecutive semesters with exceptional academic performance. Merit-based, need-based, and research grants are also available through international partners.
Within seven days of receiving the application, NVU arranges a Skype interview and sends a Conditional Offer Letter. Full enrollment including ministry processing typically takes 30โ45 days.
Students must be at least 17 years old, have scored 50% in 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (40% for reserved categories), qualify NEET, and demonstrate English proficiency at B2 level through IELTS, TOEFL, or NVU's English for Medical Purposes Exam (EMPE).
NVU accepts students for the September intake each year. Applications open in June/July, and early application is strongly recommended as seats are limited.
