Altai State Medical University

Altai State Medical University is a very old medical university in Siberia, established in 1954. The University was previously named Altai State Medical Institute and is a prominent West Siberian university that provides good-quality medical education to international students. The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia recognizes this university. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and thus it is a popular option for MBBS in Russia. The university provides a 6-year MBBS course, with English and Russian taught in the first two years parallel to each other. From the third year on, Russian becomes the main language of instruction, but some subjects and courses remain taught in English.
