Mari State University

Mari State University is a non-profit public higher education institution established in 1972 under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, located in Yoshkar-Ola, the capital of the Mari El Republic. The university has been a popular destination for Indian students seeking MBBS in Russia, with more than 1,500 Indian students currently pursuing the medical course. It holds recognitions from the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India, WDOMS, ECFMG, FAIMER, and EMC. The university has 7 educational buildings and 8 hostel buildings for its students, with 570 lecturers, 3,000 doctors and professors, and about 1,200 candidates of science teaching approximately 9,000 students.
