Yes, NVU is recognized by WHO, NMC (India), ECFMG, FAIMER, WFME, NCEQE (Georgia), and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). Graduates can appear for FMGE/NExT in India, USMLE in the USA, and PLAB in the UK.
The Medical Doctor program at NVU is 360 ECTS / 6 years , comprising 5 years of spiral-model academics and clinical work plus 1 mandatory internship year.
The MD/MBBS program is fully taught in English. Basic Georgian language is offered as a complementary course for non-native-speaking international students.
NVU provides 6 well-maintained dormitories with separate facilities for female students, equipped with all necessary amenities including Wi-Fi, gym, laundry, 24/7 security, CCTV, and a canteen.
NVU offers a 25% scholarship to students who pass two consecutive semesters with exceptional academic performance. Merit-based, need-based, and research grants are also available through international partners.
Within seven days of receiving the application, NVU arranges a Skype interview and sends a Conditional Offer Letter. Full enrollment including ministry processing typically takes 30–45 days.
Students must be at least 17 years old, have scored 50% in 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (40% for reserved categories), qualify NEET, and demonstrate English proficiency at B2 level through IELTS, TOEFL, or NVU's English for Medical Purposes Exam (EMPE).
NVU accepts students for the September intake each year. Applications open in June/July, and early application is strongly recommended as seats are limited.
