Yes, Sun Yat-Sen University is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), now NMC. Indian students who graduate from the university can take the Foreign Medical Graduates Exam (FMGE), also known as the MCI Screening Test, to practice medicine in India.
For all foreign students, the medium of teaching is English at Sun Yat-sen University. The MBBS curriculum is taught in English, making it accessible for Indian and international students
Chinese Medical courses will take six years to complete — five years worth of classroom training where students will get all the relevant training. Practical training will go side by side with a yearlong apprenticeship/internship.
Sun Yat-Sen University offers on-campus housing for international students in rental-style accommodation. Students are provided with single and double rooms at the hostel. All rooms are equipped with a restroom, water dispenser, kitchen, air conditioner, television, and broadband internet. Foreign students can prepare meals by themselves.
Applicants should be in good health and meet the physical standards required for applying for a student visa or residence permit in China. A minimum of 60% marks in PCB is required. NEET qualification is mandatory for Indian students. Age limit is 17–25 years.
