About Termez Branch of Tashkent State Medical University

The Termez Branch of Tashkent State Medical University (formerly Tashkent Medical Academy) trains medical professionals that meet modern requirements and develops advanced technologies in medicine. The main objective is to produce doctors prepared to serve the fundamental purposes of medicine — graduates who have the qualities necessary to develop medical practices and use modern equipment and treatment methods to strengthen the health of society. The Termez Branch was established under a decree issued by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with approval from the Cabinet of Ministers. The branch has 4 faculties — Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing — and more than 20 departments, 9 of which are clinical departments used for advanced training.Approximately 3,629 students are enrolled in full-time undergraduate programs and 131 students are pursuing clinical residency specialities at the university. Medical courses are developed according to international programs such as TEMPUS and Visegrad Fund. Collaboration memoranda have been signed with Daegu Haany University (South Korea) and Sankalchand Patel University (India). The university is recognized by WHO, NMC (India), and WDOMS. Scholarship programs are offered based on student merit.
