Yes, CIU is accredited by NMC, WHO, WFME, ECFMG, FAIMER, and MCC.Graduates can appear for FMGE/NExT in India, USMLE in the USA, and PLAB in the UK.
CIU delivers a 6-year MBBS (MD) in the English language to foreign students, based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). This includes 5 years of academics and 1 year of mandatory clinical internship.
The whole education is in English and there is no language barrier. No IELTS or TOEFL test is required to get admission. English proficiency is assessed through a B2-level internal exam.
CIU does not have a university hostel. Students can rent shared or private rooms at hostels and apartments near the campus. The university provides support in finding suitable accommodation.
CIU provides merit-based scholarships for Gold and Silver Medal holders — Gold Medal holders receive 20% of tuition fees, Silver Medal holders receive 10%. Postgraduate students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for 50% tuition funding during the first two years.
The application deadline for the fall semester is August 30th, and for the spring semester it is February 15th. After document review and offer letter issuance, the full enrollment and visa process takes 30–45 days.
The age of the student must be at least 17 years or above on or before 31st December in the admission year, and a general category student must have scored at least 50% marks in PCB subjects in 10+2. NEET qualification is mandatory.
CIU offers two intakes — Fall (September) with an application deadline of August 30th, and Spring (February) with an application deadline of February 15th
