About Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University
The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was opened in 1993 in accordance with the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation (Moscow, June 10, 1992). It was named after Boris Yeltsin, Russia's former president, as a sign of respect for his instrumental role in the establishment of the university.
